Which coffee makers are ideal for these coffees?
These coffees work exceptionally well in a variety of coffee makers that allow precise control of the preparation process, such as the V60, Clever, Kalita, Aeropress, Chemex, and American-type superautomatic coffee makers.
What happens if I want to prepare these coffees in an espresso machine?
Adjustments in temperature and extraction time are crucial due to the light roasting of these beans, which highlights their complexity. This characteristic can unbalance the beverage due to the high concentration of the espresso. Increasing the temperature during extraction increases the caramelization of the coffee, while prolonging the extraction improves the body and evenly balances the flavor.
How We Roast Our Exotic Coffees and Why is it Important?
At Salvatge, we apply a light roasting, known as Scandinavian style roasting, with the purpose of maintaining and highlighting the pure DNA of the coffee flavor. This approach does not seek to transform the flavor of the coffee, but rather to reveal and project the characteristic notes of its botanical variety, its method of cultivation and the natural environment in which it was developed.
Our Approach: Discover, Don't Transform
We consider ourselves discoverers of flavors, not transformers. By applying a light roast, we allow each coffee bean to reveal its true essence, highlighting the unique notes that make it special. This process offers our customers an unparalleled sensory experience, taking them on a journey through the landscapes and cultures that gave life to each bean.
The Importance of Light Roasting
Flavor Authenticity: Preserves the original and authentic notes of the coffee.
2. Sensory Experience: Provides a rich and diverse tasting.
3. Connection with the Origin: Allows customers to savor the influences of the natural environment and the method of cultivation.
We invite our clients to discover the difference with our exotic coffees and to enjoy a unique sensory adventure.
